I have somehow found your blog and must say I am very impressed by it. My current interest, is finding out as much as I can about the Black Republican parties after reconstruction in the south up until many of them were taken over by the lily white factions (particularly in the 20th century). I would be in your debt if you could recommend any books or websites that focus on this subject.
Of late I have been searching for a judicial pedigree for the Johnson Amendment that has been the subject of recent political hay made by Donald Trump. Any guidance in this area would be most welcome. I have put your blog in my favorites. I have yet to read just the one about Woodrow Wilson’s relationship with Black’s but I intend to read more.
